Project

Context

Used for the past twenty years in medical and paramedical training, healthcare simulationis an emerging training mode that aims to improve healthcare quality and safety. Beyond learning procedures and healthcare acts, it teaches how to work in multidisciplinary teams focussing on non-technical skills (human factors). Indeed, while medical and paramedical stakeholders have frequent opportunities to work in collaboration, this approach is only effective in the field, with patients.

Objectives

SimuCarePro-CRM aims to create tools addressed to medical and paramedical training in order to provide, in simulation, the necessary non-technical skills to work in team in emergency situations. To do so, the project will focus on the study of CRM concepts (Crisis Resource Management) creating simulation scenarios validated by the academic world in a multidisciplinary context.

It has two main objectives

  1. To create simulation tools to work on the CRM concepts and human factors that are necessary to work during crisis management in multidisciplinary team in medical and paramedical initial training.
  2. To learn digitally the different CRM concepts through an e-learning platform before multidisciplinary teams implement simulation scenarios.

Training platform

The online platform is before all a digital tool accessible to project partners.

  • They will be able to upload and work on different simulation activities based on non-technical skills (including CRM concepts).
  • The platform will centralise information for all European academic institutions in healthcare.

It will be divided in activities sorted in relation to learning, from the theoretical framework to evaluation tools and practice impact. Lire plus
